Terms & Conditions

Effective from 20 May 2026

In case of any conflict, the Hungarian version of these terms prevails. This English translation is provided for convenience.

1. Service Provider information

These Terms & Conditions ("ÁSZF") govern the legal relationship between the operator of CarDoc services ("Service Provider") and any natural or legal person using the website or related services ("User").

These ÁSZF apply to use of the website https://www.cardoc.hu and any related services.

2. Scope of the ÁSZF

2.1. These ÁSZF cover every online service provided by the Service Provider, in particular:

  • vehicle handling and tracking services,
  • appointment booking functionality,
  • notification and reminder features,
  • user account management,
  • use of any related mobile applications.

2.2. By using the website, the User accepts the provisions of these ÁSZF.

2.3. The Service Provider may modify these ÁSZF unilaterally. Modifications take effect upon publication on the website.

3. Description of the service

3.1. The Service Provider offers premium auto cosmetic and detailing services, in particular:

  • exterior and interior auto cleaning,
  • premium detailing,
  • paint correction and polishing,
  • ceramic coating application,
  • PPF (Paint Protection Film) wraps,
  • headlight polishing,
  • pre-sale vehicle preparation,
  • other vehicle aesthetic treatments.

3.2. The content, duration and price of each service is set out on the website or in an individual quote.

3.3. The Service Provider reserves the right to:

  • modify the content of services,
  • introduce new services,
  • discontinue particular services,
  • temporarily restrict the online booking system for maintenance or technical reasons.

3.4. The outcome of services depends on the condition of the vehicle, prior damage, repairs, quality of paint, and other external factors.

4. Registration and user account

4.1. Certain services are only available after registration.

4.2. The User is obliged to:

  • provide accurate data,
  • keep their data up to date,
  • treat their password as confidential.

4.3. The User is responsible for all activity carried out through their account.

4.4. The Service Provider may suspend or delete a user account if:

  • the User breaches the ÁSZF,
  • the User engages in unlawful activity,
  • operation of the service is endangered.

5. Fees and payment terms

5.1. Service fees are defined on the website or in an individual quote.

5.2. The displayed prices are indicative starting prices, which may vary depending on the size and condition of the vehicle and the necessary work.

5.3. The Service Provider may issue an individual quote before commencing the service.

5.4. The Service Provider may request a deposit for certain premium services — in particular ceramic coating, multi-stage polishing or PPF wrap.

5.5. The service relationship qualifies as an individual service contract under the Hungarian Civil Code.

5.6. Cancellation:

  • For cancellations within 24 hours, the Service Provider may retain the deposit.
  • If the User does not show up, the Service Provider may refuse to reschedule.

5.7. Unless agreed otherwise, the service fee is payable on handover of the vehicle.

6. User obligations

The User undertakes to:

  • use the service lawfully,
  • not infringe third-party rights,
  • not attempt unauthorised access to the system,
  • not distribute malicious software or viruses,
  • not abuse the system.

7. Data handling and protection

7.1. The Service Provider handles personal data as set out in its Privacy Notice.

7.2. Operation of the service may require handling of the following data:

  • name,
  • email address,
  • phone number,
  • vehicle data,
  • location data,
  • usage and diagnostic data.

7.3. The User acknowledges that certain functions only operate by sharing location or technical data.

7.4. Data processing complies with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

8. Intellectual property

8.1. All content on the website — in particular logos, texts, images, software and graphical elements — is the property of the Service Provider or its partners.

8.2. Copying, distributing or using such content without permission is prohibited.

9. Limitation of liability

9.1. The Service Provider performs services with professional care, but does not accept liability for:

  • defects arising from prior damage,
  • poor-quality or previously repaired paint,
  • problems caused by non-original parts,
  • hidden material defects,
  • wear arising from normal use.

9.2. During polishing, paint correction, ceramic coating or PPF wraps, prior damage, poor repairs, thin paint layers, secondary respray, weak adhesion areas or hidden defects may become more visible or worsen. The Service Provider accepts no liability for this.

9.3. The Service Provider gives no guarantee for results that the vehicle's technical or aesthetic condition objectively does not allow.

9.4. The User must remove all cash, jewellery, electronics and other valuables from the vehicle. The Service Provider is liable for items left in the vehicle only in case of intentional damage.

9.5. The Service Provider may refuse to perform a service on a vehicle whose condition would substantially endanger the work or its result.

9.6. Service appointments and handover deadlines are estimates, which may vary depending on vehicle condition, hidden defects, drying time, curing time of materials, or other technical circumstances.

9.7. The User consents to the Service Provider moving, parking or test-driving the vehicle to the extent necessary.

9.8. The Service Provider is not liable for delays or performance obstacles arising from force majeure, in particular:

  • power outages,
  • water supply problems,
  • extreme weather,
  • supplier delays,
  • technical failures.

9.9. Ceramic coating does not provide complete scratch protection and does not replace proper maintenance or safe washing techniques.

9.10. PPF wrap is a hand-applied process; minor optical deviations, alignment lines, edges, dust particles, relief cuts, film joints or minor aesthetic variations may occur within industry tolerance.

9.11. The Service Provider accepts no liability for errors or damage arising from:

  • prior repairs,
  • factory defects,
  • improper maintenance,
  • third-party intervention,
  • use of automatic brush car washes,
  • aggressive chemicals,
  • stone chips,
  • vandalism,
  • accidents,
  • natural causes.

9.12. The outcome always depends on the vehicle's current technical and aesthetic condition; the Service Provider cannot guarantee factory-new or new-vehicle results.

9.13. The Service Provider may interrupt or modify the work if hidden defects or risks are discovered during the service.

9.14. Except for intentional damage, the Service Provider's liability is capped at the value of the given service.

10. Third-party services

10.1. The website may contain services or references provided by third parties.

10.2. The Service Provider is not responsible for the content or operation of such external services.

11. Termination

11.1. The User may terminate their account at any time.

11.2. The Service Provider may terminate the service or restrict access in case of a breach of these ÁSZF.

11.3. Termination does not affect previously accrued payment obligations.

12. Complaint handling

12.1. The User may submit complaints via:

12.2. The Service Provider investigates complaints without undue delay, but no later than within 30 days.

13. Consumer protection

13.1. Users qualifying as consumers are entitled to remedies under current Hungarian and EU consumer-protection law.

13.2. The Service Provider notes that most services qualify as individually-tailored services, in which case the right of withdrawal may be limited or excluded by applicable law.

13.3. In case of dispute, the User may:

  • turn to a conciliation board,
  • initiate consumer-protection authority proceedings,
  • initiate court proceedings.

14. Governing law and jurisdiction

14.1. The following legal rules apply in particular to these ÁSZF:

  • Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (Ptk.),
  • Act CVIII of 2001 on electronic commercial services,
  • Act CLV of 1997 on consumer protection,
  • Government Decree 45/2014 (II.26.) on distance contracts,
  • Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR),
  • Act CXII of 2011 on the right of informational self-determination and freedom of information.

14.2. These ÁSZF are governed by Hungarian law.

14.3. The parties shall primarily resolve their disputes amicably.

14.4. For adjudication of disputes, the competent Hungarian courts have jurisdiction.

15. Final provisions

15.1. If any provision of these ÁSZF proves invalid, it does not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

15.2. These ÁSZF are published electronically and available on the website.

16. Cancellation and booking policy

16.1. Booking may take place online, by phone or by email.

16.2. The Service Provider may require a deposit for certain premium services.

16.3. Cancellation of an appointment at least 24 hours in advance is free of charge.

16.4. In case of cancellation within 24 hours or no-show, the deposit is non-refundable.

16.5. The Service Provider reserves the right to reschedule for technical or operational reasons.

17. Ceramic coating warranty terms

17.1. Durability of the ceramic coating depends on:

  • vehicle usage,
  • storage conditions,
  • maintenance,
  • washing habits.

17.2. The warranty is only valid under proper-use conditions.

17.3. The warranty does not extend to:

  • mechanical damage,
  • stone chips,
  • chemical damage,
  • defects from improper washing technique,
  • damage caused by automatic brush car washes.

17.4. The Service Provider recommends regular maintenance washes.

17.5. The expected lifetime of the ceramic coating is only meaningful under proper maintenance and is not an absolute or unconditional guarantee.

17.6. The warranty may expire in particular due to:

  • use of automatic brush car washes,
  • use of inappropriate chemicals,
  • mechanical damage,
  • improper cleaning,
  • third-party treatment.

18. PPF wrap terms

18.1. Application of PPF film is a hand-done process, so minor optical deviations may occur.

18.2. Lifetime and condition of the film depend on:

  • UV exposure,
  • conditions of use,
  • maintenance,
  • external impacts.

18.3. The Service Provider accepts no liability for:

  • defects arising from improper aftercare,
  • mechanical damage,
  • damage from accidents.

18.4. Following the wrap, the User must follow the provided care guide.

18.5. PPF film does not provide complete protection against every mechanical or chemical impact.

18.6. Minor lifting or optical change at the film edges over prolonged use may qualify as natural wear.

18.7. The Service Provider accepts no liability for elements that were previously repaired or repainted using non-factory technology.

19. Vehicle handover and condition assessment

19.1. Upon vehicle handover the Service Provider may perform a condition assessment and record video or photo documentation, which may be used as evidence in case of dispute.

19.2. The User is obliged to inform the Service Provider of:

  • prior damage,
  • previously resprayed parts,
  • known defects,
  • sensitive or damaged surfaces.

19.3. The Service Provider may refuse to perform the work if the condition of the vehicle presents a risk.

20. Data handling (summary)

20.1. The Service Provider handles personal data necessary for providing the service.

20.2. Data handled, in particular:

  • name,
  • phone number,
  • email address,
  • licence plate,
  • vehicle data,
  • invoicing data.

20.3. Purposes of data handling:

  • appointment booking,
  • communication,
  • invoicing,
  • performance of the service,
  • marketing — only with consent.

20.4. Legal basis of data handling, in particular:

  • contractual performance,
  • legal obligation,
  • legitimate interest,
  • consent.

20.5. Detailed data-handling rules are set out in a separate Privacy Notice.

21. Cookie notice

21.1. The website uses cookies to ensure proper operation and user experience.

21.2. The website may use:

  • operationally necessary cookies,
  • analytics cookies,
  • marketing and remarketing cookies.

21.3. The User may adjust cookie settings in their browser.

22. Photo and marketing consent

22.1. The Service Provider may use photos or videos taken during the service for marketing purposes only with the User's prior consent.

22.2. Consent is given by separate declaration.

22.3. Upon request, the Service Provider will obscure the licence plate or other identifying elements.

23. Vehicle handover and condition-assessment sheet template

The following data may be recorded at vehicle handover:

  • customer name,
  • phone number,
  • email address,
  • vehicle type,
  • licence plate,
  • odometer reading,
  • fuel level,
  • external damage,
  • internal damage,
  • resprayed elements,
  • existing films or coatings,
  • photographic documentation at handover,
  • video documentation,
  • paint-thickness measurement results.

23.1. The Service Provider may accept the condition-assessment document by digital or paper signature.

23.2. The condition-assessment document may form the basis of evidence between the parties in case of dispute.

23.3. By signing the condition-assessment document, the User confirms the vehicle's condition at handover.

23.4. The Service Provider may record additional photo or video documentation throughout the entire work.

24. Ceramic coating care guide

24.1. Vehicles fitted with ceramic coating must not be cleaned with chemicals or in automatic car washes during the first 7 days.

24.2. Recommended:

  • use of pH-neutral shampoo,
  • hand washing,
  • regular maintenance cleaning.

24.3. Improper maintenance may reduce the lifetime of the coating.

25. PPF film aftercare guide

25.1. Within the first 7 days after wrapping:

  • high-pressure washes are prohibited,
  • brush car washes are prohibited,
  • strong chemicals must be avoided.

25.2. The full curing time of the film may vary depending on environmental conditions.

25.3. Transient moisture or bubbles may occur at film edges.

26. Deposit policy

26.1. The Service Provider may request a deposit for certain services.

26.2. The amount of the deposit is set by the type of service.

26.3. The deposit will be deducted from the final invoice.

26.4. In case of cancellation within 24 hours or no-show, the deposit is non-refundable.

27. Fleet and B2B services

27.1. For corporate or fleet-management services, the parties may conclude a separate individual contract.

27.2. The Service Provider may apply individual pricing and service conditions.

28. Online booking conditions

28.1. An online booking may qualify as a request for quote or a pre-booking.

28.2. The booking becomes final upon the Service Provider's confirmation.

28.3. The Service Provider may reschedule or refuse an appointment.

28.4. An online booking does not in itself qualify as an automatically accepted service contract.

28.5. The contract is concluded by the Service Provider's individual confirmation or by actual commencement of the service.
